Crane collapses at Aventura Mall, injures worker
AVENTURA, Fla. (WSVN) -- A crane operator is recovering with a broken leg after his construction crane at the Aventura Mall collapsed.
It is uncertain how exactly the accident occurred; however, authorities believe the 200-ton crane may have tipped forward. It has since been placed upright.
Authorities say the mall's operational hours were not affected and will not be affected.
There are no other injuries and the one victim was transported to Aventura Hospital with a broken leg, and is expected to be OK.
